Left for shoot on 19 Nov 08, and our first destintion was Auckland, New Zealand. The weather there is so nice... cold air blowing. Everything went so smoothly at our first location but after that, many things start to happen...
When we were leaving Auckland for New Caledonia, the Air New Zealand customs called for us at a very last min asking us to open our bag. They confiscated our sungun which was supposed to be used for our shoot. We argued with them but no use. They mentioned that we can get it back but ....
Next, when we reached New Caledonia, I find that my luggage is not out after everyone left... There was also another lady who also gt checked in Auckland and her baggage is also lost. So we had to file a report. We were at New Caledonia for 5 days. and I onli managed to get my luggage back onli on e day we are leaving as we were filming at New Caledonia and also Ile Des Pins, an island at New Caledonia. The water there is so blue an nice... the sky is also so blue.... but except for the bad service of the airline that goes there. Cos they lost many people bags before and this is common for them. They lost our tripod before when my director went there for recce.
Our next stop is Vanuatu... Another beautiful place... with beautiful water. But din manage to go out... However, we managed to grab some time off to play catamari before we fly to our next location. The water out in the deep are so blue and nice with beautiful corals... On this trip, we went for the buggy shoot and our camera came up with probs...we could nt record any sound... the whole xlr input came off... But we were lucky to have found someone who works at the Sony office in Japan for 3 mths before to help us solve the prob...
Followed up is our last location, Fiji... The reopening of the Sheraton Resort... On the reopening day, it was a chaos for us as we onli have one camera and a small camera which was supposed to be shot by my director but e camera was a bit screwed up. but luckily everything went fine.
And finally, it was time to come back... It seems quite long when u on shoot but when it ends, it seems like we just started yesterday...
